“Your account has been suspended”
When we began building this site we decided to accept credit cards in addition to cryptocurrency. WordPress WooCommerce made it easy, with built-in functionality for a credit card processor called “Stripe”.
After jumping through all the hoops to get that account set up, I received an email informing me that “it does seem that your business is in violation of the Stripe Services Agreement, section A.7.b (“Prohibited Businesses and Activities”). Specifically, we are unable to accept payments for substances designed to mimic illegal drugs as mentioned here: https://stripe.com/prohibited-businesses.” Designed to mimic illegal drugs? What do any of us know about the design of this plant? Needless to say, they were not interested in questions regarding the actual intent of the designer.
Do they know something that the rest of us do not? Do they have regular conversations with higher powers, who informed them that they designed this plant to mimic illegal drugs?
